However, if the open back is to be used as shown in the picture here, it should be backfilled with chippings, gravel or topsoil.
The ECO universal mat is suitable for fixing surfaces with low traffic. It also does not require any subfloor modification and can be laid directly on the straight, existing floor. The mat drains excess rainwater downward. The soil is preserved. It is compatible with the robust universal mat Premium, so areas with frequently traveled paths can be combined. This mat can also be used on both sides.
